Light Reset without using a computer

Mercedez-Benz C-Class 1997-1999

Turn the ignition to the "II" position and immediately press "O" button located below "+" and "-" buttons. Turn the ignition to the "O" position. Press andhold "O" button and turn the ignition to the "II" position. When new interval is displayed, release "O" button. Turn the ignition to the "OFF" position.

C-Class 2000-onwards
Turn the ignition to the "I" position. Press lower left hand button on the left side of the steering wheel repeatedly until both total and trip mileage aredisplayed. Press upper left hand button on the left side of the steering wheel repeatedly until the service symbol and the mileage remaining aredisplayed. Press and hold "R" button on left side of the gauge cluster until "DO YOU WANT TO RESET THE SERVICE INTERVAL? CONFIRM BYPRESSING THE R BUTTON" is displayed. Within 4 seconds, press and hold "R" button again until the interval is reset. Turn the igntion off.

CL (140) 1997-1999
Turn the ignition to the "II" position and immediately press button to the bottom left of the speedometer twice within a second. Turn the ignition to the "0"
position. Press and hold the same button while turning the ignition to the "II" position. Once the new interval is displayed, release button. Turn theignition off.

CL (215) 1999-onwards
Turn the ignition to the "I" position. Press lower left hand button on the left side of the steering wheel repeatedly until both total and trip mileage aredisplayed. Press upper left hand button on the left side of the steering wheel repeatedly until the service symbol and the mileage remaining are
displayed. Press and hold "R" button on right side of the gauge cluster until "DO YOU WANT TO RESET THE SERVICE INTERVAL? CONFIRM BYPRESSING THE R BUTTON" is displayed. Within 4 seconds, press and hold "R" button again until the interval is reset. Turn the igntion off.

CLK 1998-1999
Turn the ignition to the "II" position and immediately press "O" button located below "+" and "-" buttons. Turn the ignition to the "O" position. Press andhold "O" button and turn the ignition to the "II" position. When new interval is displayed, release "O" button. Turn the ignition to the "OFF" position.

CLK 1999-2003
Turn the ignition to the "I" position. Press lower left hand button on the left side of the steering wheel repeatedly until both total and trip mileage aredisplayed. Press upper left hand button on the left side of the steering wheel repeatedly until the service symbol and the mileage remaining aredisplayed. Press and hold "R" button on left side of the gauge cluster until "DO YOU WANT TO RESET THE SERVICE INTERVAL? CONFIRM BYPRESSING THE R BUTTON" is displayed. Within 4 seconds, press and hold "R" button again until the interval is reset. Turn the igntion off.

CLK 2004-onwards
Turn the ignition to the "I" position. Press lower left hand button on the left side of the steering wheel repeatedly until both total and trip mileage aredisplayed. Press upper left hand button on the left side of the steering wheel repeatedly until the service symbol and the mileage remaining aredisplayed. Press and hold "R" button on left side of the gauge cluster until "TO RESET, PRESS RESET BUTTON FOR 3 SEC" is displayed.
Within 4 seconds, press and hold "R" button again until the interval is reset. Turn the igntion off.

E-Class (210) 1997-1999
Turn the ignition to the "II" position and immediately press "O" button located below "+" and "-" buttons. Turn the ignition to the "O" position. Press andhold "O" button and turn the ignition to the "II" position. When new interval is displayed, release "O" button. Turn the ignition to the "OFF" position.

E-Class (210) 1999-2003
Turn the ignition to the "I" position. Press lower left hand button on the left side of the steering wheel repeatedly until both total and trip mileage aredisplayed. Press upper left hand button on the left side of the steering wheel repeatedly until the service symbol and the mileage remaining aredisplayed. Press and hold "R" button on left side of the gauge cluster until "DO YOU WANT TO RESET THE SERVICE INTERVAL? CONFIRM BYPRESSING THE R BUTTON" is displayed. Within 4 seconds, press and hold "R" button again until the interval is reset. Turn the igntion off.

E-Class (211) 2002-8/03
Turn the ignition to the "I" position. Press the down arrow on the left side of the steering wheel repeatedly until service message is displayed. Pressand hold button on the left side of the gauge cluster until "SERVICE MENU" is displayed. Press the "-" button on the right side of the steering wheeland select "CONFIRMATION". Press lower left button on the steering wheel and select "CONFIRM". Press that button again and "SERVICECONFIRMED" is displayed. Press that button repeatedly to return to the main menu.

E-Class (211) 9/03-onwards
Turn the ignition to the "I" position. Press lower left hand button on the left side of the steering wheel repeatedly until service mileage is displayed.
Press button to the left of the gauge cluster three times. The voltage will be displayed. Press the down arrow button on the left side of the steeringwheel until "SERVICE MENU" is displayed. Press the "-" button on the right side of the steering wheel repeatedly and select "CONFIRMATION".
Press the lower left button on the left side of the steering wheel. "CONFIRMATION" is displayed. Press that button again. "SERVICE CONFIRMED"
is displayed. Press the upper left button on the left side of the steering wheel repeatedly until "SERVICE MENU' is displayed. Press the "-" button onthe right side of the steering wheel repeatedly until "SPECIAL OPERATIONS" is displayed. Press the lower left button on the left side of the steeringwheel. Press upper left hand button on the left side of the steering wheel repeatedly until "SERVICE 13" is displayed. Press lower left button on the
left side of the steering wheel. Press upper left hand button on the left side of the steering wheel until desired oil grade is selected. Press lower leftbutton on the left side of the steering wheel. Press upper left hand button on the left side of the steering wheel until service message is displayed.
Turn the ignition to the "0" position.

G-Class 2002-onwards
Turn the ignition to the "ON" position. Press upper left hand button on the left side of the steering wheel repeatedly until both total and trip mileage aredisplayed. Press the up arrow on the left side of the steering wheel repeatedly until the service symbol and the mileage remaining are displayed.
Press and hold the "R" button on the left of the gauge cluster until "DO YOU WANT TO RESET THE SERVICE INTERVAL? CONFIRM BYPRESSING THE R BUTTON" is displayed. Within 4 seconds, press and hold "R" button again until the interval is reset. Turn the igntion off.

M-Class 1998-2005
Turn the ignition to the "II" position and immediately press button to the bottom left of the speedometer twice within a second. Turn the ignition to the "0"
position. Press and hold the same button while turning the ignition to the "II" position. Once the new interval is displayed, release button. Turn theignition off.

S-Class (140) 1997-1999
Turn the ignition to the "II" position and immediately press button to the bottom left of the speedometer twice within a second. Turn the ignition to the "0"
position. Press and hold the same button while turning the ignition to the "II" position. Once the new interval is displayed, release button. Turn theignition off.

S-Class (220) 1999-onwards
Turn the ignition to the "I" position. Press lower left hand button on the left side of the steering wheel repeatedly until both total and trip mileage aredisplayed. Press upper left hand button on the left side of the steering wheel repeatedly until the service symbol and the mileage remaining aredisplayed. Press and hold "R" button on right side of the gauge cluster until "DO YOU WANT TO RESET THE SERVICE INTERVAL? CONFIRM BYPRESSING THE R BUTTON" is displayed. Within 4 seconds, press and hold "R" button again until the interval is reset. Turn the igntion off.

SL-Class 1997-2002
Turn the ignition to the "II" position and immediately press button to the bottom left of the speedometer twice within a second. Turn the ignition to the "0"
position. Press and hold the same button while turning the ignition to the "II" position. Once the new interval is displayed, release button. Turn theignition off.

SL-Class 2003-onwards
Turn the ignition to the "I" position. Press lower left hand button on the left side of the steering wheel repeatedly until both total and trip mileage aredisplayed. Press upper left hand button on the left side of the steering wheel repeatedly until the service symbol and the mileage remaining aredisplayed. Press and hold "R" button on right side of the gauge cluster until "DO YOU WANT TO RESET THE SERVICE INTERVAL? CONFIRM BYPRESSING THE R BUTTON" is displayed. Within 4 seconds, press and hold "R" button again until the interval is reset. Turn the igntion off.

SLK 1999-2004
Turn the ignition to the "II" position and immediately press button to the bottom left of the speedometer twice within a second. Turn the ignition to the "0"
position. Press and hold the same button while turning the ignition to the "II" position. Once the new interval is displayed, release button. Turn theignition off.

SLK 2005-onwards
Turn the ignition to the "I" position. Press upper left hand button on the left side of the steering wheel until service message is displayed. Press bottombutton on left side of the gauge cluster three times. The voltage is displayed. Press the down arrow on the left hand side of the steering wheel until"SERVICE MENU" is displayed. Press either of the right hand buttons on the right side of the steering wheel to select confirmation. Press lower lefthand button on the left side of the steering wheel. "CONFIRMATION" is displayed. "Overall service" menu is highlighted. Press that button again.
"SERVICE CONFIRMED" is displayed. Press upper left hand button on the left side of the steering wheel repeatedly until "SERVICE MENU" isdisplayed. Press either of the right hand buttons on the right side of the steering wheel repeatedly until "SPECIAL OPERATIONS" is displayed.
Press lower left hand button on the left side of the steering wheel. Press either of the right hand buttons on the right side of the steering wheel until"SERVICE 3" is displayed. Press lower left hand button on the left side of the steering wheel. Press either of the right hand buttons on the right side ofthe steering wheel to select oil grade. Press lower left hand button on the left side of the steering wheel. Press upper left hand button on the left side ofthe steering wheel until service message is displayed. Turn the ignition to the "0" position.
