Light Reset without using a computer
Mariner 2005-onwards
Turn ignition to the "ON" position. Press "SET" button until "PRESS SET FOR
SYS CHECK" is displayed. Press button again. "OIL CHANGE XXX%
HOLD SET NEW" is displayed. Press and hold button until "OIL CHANGE SET TO 100%"
is displayed. Turn ignition off.
Montego 2005-onwards
With DIC: (If "CHANGE OIL SOON" or "OIL CHANGE REQUIRED" is displayed.) Turn
ignition to the "ON" position. Press middle button on right
side of steering wheel until "OIL LIFE XX% RESET IF NEW" is displayed. Press
bottom button on right side of steering wheel. Press and hold bottom
button until "OIL LIFE IS RESET TO 100%" is displayed. Turn ignition off.
With DIC: (If "CHANGE OIL SOON" or "OIL CHANGE REQUIRED" is NOT displayed.) Turn
ignition to the "ON" position. Press middle button on
right side of steering wheel until "PRESS RESET FOR SYS CHECK" is displayed.
Press bottom button on right side of steering wheel. Press and
hold bottom button until "IF NEW OIL HOLD RESET" is displayed. Press and hold
bottom button until "OIL LIFE SET TO 100%" is displayed. Turn
ignition off.
Without DIC: Turn ignition to the "ON" position. Press button below speedometer
until "OIL LIFE XX%" is displayed. Press and hold button until
"OIL LIFE 100%" is displayed. Press button until odometer is displayed again.
Mountaineer 1997-2001
Turn the ignition to the "ON" position. Press and hold "OIL CHANGE RESET"
button until new oil life percentage is displayed.
Mountaineer 2002-onwards
Turn ignition to the "ON" position. Press "SETUP" button. Press "RESET"
button. "OIL LIFE XX% HOLD RESET NEW" is displayed. Press and
hold "RESET" button until "IF NEW OIL HOLD RESET" is displayed. Press and hold
"RESET" button until "OIL LIFE RESET TO 100%" is displayed
