Light Reset without using a computer
Aztek 2001-onwards
With DIC: Turn ignition to the "ON" position. Press the "MODE" button
repeatedly until "OIL LIFE LEFT/HOLD SET TO RESET" is displayed. Press
and hold "SET" button until "100%" is displayed. "CHANGE ENGINE OIL" will no
longer be displayed and a chime will sound. Turn ignition off.
Without DIC: Turn ignition to the "ON" position. With "CHANGE ENGINE OIL" lamp
on, slowly depress accelerator pedal 3 times within 5 seconds.
Turn ignition off.
Bonneville 1996-1997
Turn the ignition to the "ON" position. Press the "MODE" button repeatedly
until "OIL LIFE" is displayed. Press and hold "RESET" button until
"RESET" and "OIL LIFE 100%" are displayed. Turn ignition off.
Bonneville 1998
Turn the ignition to the "ON" position. Press the "TRIP" button repeatedly
until "OIL LIFE" is displayed. Press and hold "RESET" button until "OIL LIFE
100%" is displayed. Turn ignition off.
Bonneville 1999
Turn the ignition to the "ON" position. Press and hold "RESET" button
located inside instrument panel storage compartment until "CHANGE OIL SOON"
lamp flashes 4 times. Turn ignition off.
Bonneville 2000-onwards
Turn the ignition to the "ON" position. Press the "MODE" button repeatedly
until "VEHICLE DATA" is displayed. Press "SELECT" button repeatedly
until "OIL LIFE" is displayed. Turn ignition off. Press and hold "RESET" button
for 5 seconds.
Firebird 1999-2002
Turn the ignition to the "ON" position. Press and hold "TRIP/OIL RESET"
button until "OIL CHANGE" lamp stops flashing and turns off. Turn ignition off.
G6 2005-onwards
Turn the ignition to the "ON" position. Press the "MENU" button repeatedly
until "OIL LIFE" is displayed. Press and hold the "ENTER" button until
"ACKNOWLEDGED" is displayed. Turn ignition off.
Grand Am 1999
Turn the ignition to the "ON" position. Press the "RESET" button. The
"CHANGE ENGINE OIL" light will flash. Press and hold "RESET" button until
"CHANGE ENGINE OIL" light turns off. Turn igition off.
Grand Am 2000-2003
Turn the ignition to the "ON" position. Press the "RESET" button inside the
driver's side fuse panel. The "CHANGE ENGINE OIL" light will flash.
Press and hold "RESET" button until "CHANGE ENGINE OIL" light turns off. Turn
igition off.
Grand Am 2004-onwards
Turn the ignition to the "ON" position. Slowly depress the accelerator pedal
3 times within 5 seconds. The "CHANGE ENGINE OIL" light will turn off.
Turn ignition off.
Grand Prix 1997-2003
With Trip Computer: Turn the ignition to the "ON" position. Press the "MODE"
button repeatedly until "OIL LIFE" is displayed. Press and hold
"RESET" button until"OIL LIFE 100%" is displayed. Turn ignition off.
With DIC: Turn the ignition to the "ON" position. Slowly depress the accelerator
pedal 3 times within 5 seconds. The "CHANGE ENGINE OIL" light
will flash. Turn the ignition off. Start engine.
Grand Prix 2004-onwards
Turn the ignition to the "ON" position. Press the "i" button repeatedly
until "ENGINE OIL MONITOR" is displayed. Press button with the arrow pointing
left repeatedly until oil life display is reset. Turn ignition off.
GTO 2004-onwards
Turn the ignition to the "ON" position. Slowly depress the accelerator pedal
3 times within 5 seconds. Turn ignition off. Start engine.
Montana 2004-onwards
Turn the ignition to the "ON" position. Press button to the right of the
temperature gauge repeatedly until "OIL" is displayed. Press and hold button
until
"OIL LIFE 100%" is displayed. Turn ignition off
