Light Reset without using a computer
Saab9-3 2003-onwards
Turn the ignition to the "ON" position. Depress the
brake pedal and hold it down. Press the second rectangular button from the top
on the right handside of the gauge cluster. Turn the knob above that button
until "SYSTEM SETTINGS" is displayed. Press the knob button. Turn the knob
until"SERVICE INFO" is displayed. Press the knob button. "% LEFT OF OIL QUALITY/DAYS
TO SERVICE" is displayed. Turn the knob until "RESETSERVICE IND." is displayed.
Press the knob button. "ARE YOU SURE? YES OR NO" is displayed. Turn the knob and
select "YES". Press the knobbutton. "SERVICE PARAMETERS UPDATED" is displayed.
Turn ignition off.
Saab 9-5 1999-onwards
Turn the ignition to the "ON" position. Press "CLR" or "CLEAR" button.
Press and hold button until "SERVICE" is displayed. Turn ignition off.
9-7X2005-2006Turn the ignition to the "ON" position. Press the button with the
gas pump repeatedly until "ENGINE OIL LIFE" is displayed. Press and hold the
buttonwith the arrow pointing left until "OIL LIFE RESET" is displayed. Turn
ignition off.
